Magnetic Candle Filters are used to filter out ferritic particles from cooling lubricants.

Function:

The specific arrangement of magnetic candle filters in the main stream of soiled cooling lubricant causes ferritic floating particles to be exposed to the maximum possible attraction force generated by the magnetic filter candles. This results in them being extracted from the liquid effectively.

Structure:

Magnetic filter candles are available in two different basic designs:

MFK Design:
The magnetic candle filters are positioned in a circular arrangement

MFK...R Design:
The magnetic candle filters are positioned in a linear arrangement

Seven different lengths of each design are available. The filter candles are composed of an upper and a lower part. The lower part consists of an aluminium flange plate with brass sheath tubes glued in place. The upper part consists of a magnetic system fitted to an aluminium supporting plate. In the MFG design, the lower part is additionally equipped with three guide rails arranged outside the dirt accumulation zone which prevent the dirt from being wiped-off at the container opening during cleansing procedures. Secondly, they facilitate the centric installation of the filter candle.

Advantages:

  • Low operating costs
  • Simple handling
